So I got a new camera it I had to wait about 5 weeks for it to arrive after I paid for it at a shop we will call Narvey Horman the irony was that the sales man convinced me at the beginning that Sony had come along way in the availability of lens .... not much good when you can't even get hold of a Sony camera (yes I was actually toying with the idea of going back Nikon!!!)
So I am the proud owner of A SLT-A57, I was originally going to buy an A65 but decided that with Sony kit lens being what they are (possibly the worse kit lens ever produced) I would go for the lesser of the 2 and use the difference to buy a Tamron lens, my decision was helped by the fact that the A57 scored slightly higher than the A65 in image quality so the only real advantage of the A65 would be the extra mega pixels and a couple of bells and whistles I would never use.
So I got my new camera and headed to Bali were I hired a motorbike and tested my new camera .... I've got to say I'm pretty happy with the results and glad I stayed with Sony.
I've Also been experimenting with journal skins as you can tell by the crappy journal skin I am using now!
The fire season has also started here and I got my first burn of the season last weekend caused by radiating heat on one small piece of exposed skin on my wrist, it blistered instantly a nice little reminder just how hot fires can get!
Finally I'm getting looking forward to Samsara being released in Australia on Boxing day and it's had me thinking that it would be a good theme for a group the spirit of Baraka/Samsara .... just a thought.
